About the show
Dvořák wrote his last symphony in New York, homesick and full of tunes. The Aldermoor Philharmonic opens its season with it, under Marta Illing, with the cor anglais solo that every audience waits for.
The evening begins with a short piece by a young local composer, and ends with the Largo you have heard in a hundred films, played the way it was meant to be heard: in a room.
Doors open one hour before. An interval of twenty minutes, with the bar on the first floor.
