A hall is its audience, and ours has been coming back for more than a century.

The house

Aldermoor Hall was built by a brewer who loved brass bands and had the money to say so. It became a concert hall in the twenties, a cinema in the fifties and a hall again when the town refused to lose it. It is run today by a small charity, a company of twelve and a great many volunteers.

What we put on

About sixty evenings a year: the Aldermoor Philharmonic in its own hall, recitals, jazz, new plays and ballet in winter, and shows for children on Sundays. The season is chosen a year ahead and sold from the day it is announced.

Friends of the Hall

The season pass is the simplest way to support the house: six concerts of your choice, your own seats, and one fifth off the tickets. A gift voucher does the same for someone else.
